There was fun for all ages at the inaugural FreFest Summer Fete recently, a fundraising event held by The Fremantle Trust.

Hosted at Aylesbury Rugby Football Club, Weston Turville, the event, which was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Aylesbury, Councillor Barbara Russel raised over £2,300, to help fund activities and interests of the people who use the charity’s services.

Enjoyed by over 400 people including its service users, their families, friends and staff from the charity, events on the day ranged from face painting and live music to craft stalls and even horse racing.

Praised as a roaring success by attendees, The FreFest initiative also succeeded in bringing together people from the charity’s diverse range of services across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and North London.

Our first ever FreFest lived up to our highest expectations. It was absolutely fantastic to see everyone having fun and there was a real sense of pride and celebration among staff and friends alike. “We’d like to thank all those businesses and local services who helped make the event possible especially Santander, whose staff volunteered on the day!
