High Wycombe-based nursing home, The Heights, hosted a special event for residents, their families, employees, and local stakeholders to recognise the collective effort that has gone into achieving an Outstanding rating from The Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the first for any care or nursing home in Buckinghamshire.
Local Mayor, Councillor Mohammed Hanif, attended the celebratory event, hosted by The Heights, under the management of Blesson Thomas.
Chief executive of the Trust, Steve Flanagan welcomed guests and thanked them for their support, upholding the nursing home as a shining example of exceptional quality care, underpinned by a dedicated team.
Attendees enjoyed a mouth-watering selection of culinary delights, with seafood, cold meats and a hot buffet provided by the on-site catering team.
The Heights and adjoining learning disability service, Downley Lodge, received an unannounced visit from CQC in January, and both scored an Outstanding rating, excelling particularly in responsiveness and leadership.
The rating puts The Fremantle Trust within the top tier of care providers in the country to receive an Outstanding ranking and is testament to the Trust’s commitment to high quality, person-centred care.
