As a responsible organisation, the health and wellbeing of all of our residents, service users, staff, volunteers and visitors to our homes and services are paramount and our absolute priority.
At present, all of our homes and services are operating as normal.
We will respond to this fast-evolving situation in a calm and proportionate manner based on expert advice and following Government guidelines. Please rest assured we will not hesitate to act if we believe it is the right thing to do.
To ensure the health and safety of all, we will be:
- Following the UK Government and Public Health England (PHE) to stay up to date with the latest developments;
- Working in partnership with our local Health Protection Teams;
- Collaborating with our industry associations and other social care providers to share information and actions;
- Adding hygiene signage at key locations around our homes and services;
- Increasing cleaning activity at homes and services; and
- Working with homes and services on updating and developing their business continuity plans.
All staff, volunteers and visitors to our homes and services are requested to maintain good respiratory and hand hygiene by employing the ‘Catch It. Bin It. Kill It.’ ethos and ensuring regular and thorough hand washing, and always upon arrival in any of our services.
If you do experience any of the symptoms: a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath, please remain at home and call NHS 111 or visit https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 for advice.
We also ask if you have visited any of the countries or regions identified on the Government’s information site https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/advice-for-travellers/ you should follow the current guidance and if advised to self-isolate, you should not attend our homes and services.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Home or Service Manager.
