The whole country has been clapping for carers and at The Fremantle Trust the care teams have gone the extra mile to deliver great care every day throughout the COVID crisis. The Trust wanted to go the extra mile for its employees so they partnered with Amazon to deliver Gift Boxes to every single one of them – a very generous gift from Amazon! Chief Executive Sara Livadeas wanted to say ‘thank you’ personally so she penned 1,600 hand written cards to go with the gift boxes, in recognition of their fantastic work.
Sara said: “I’ve been blown away by the incredible level of commitment from our teams as we moved through the recent crisis and beyond. They have put our residents and service users first to provide good safe care. They worked really hard to stay in contact with relatives, support garden visits and now the weather has turned we have set up visitor rooms in all our services. I am in awe of the work they do and I wanted to write to everyone personally so that they knew how much their service has meant to me, as well as to our residents.”
Head Office staff loaded up their cars with hundreds of boxes and delivered them directly to the homes. They were rewarded with big smiles. It made a change from delivering PPE!
Chloe Graur, Home Manager at newly refurbished Mulberry Court said: “It was such a nice touch to receive a personal thank you. It would be easy for everyone to get lost in everything that’s going on, but it was a real boost to know that we’re being thought of and valued.”
